A History of Headstart and our Goals and Values

The Origins of Headstart

In 1986 ‘HEADSTART’ was a ‘Rally’ whose goal was to Motivate for the New Year. This WESTERN based Conference has grown into a bi-annual, two-day event, whose goal is to entertain, educate, and provide an exciting networking experience in a relaxed and fun environment.

In the early 90’s ‘HEADSTART’ developed into a REALTOR run, grass-roots conference.

‘HEADSTART’ has now grown into a much-anticipated event, with top quality motivational speakers; hands-on training sessions; entertaining skits PLUS a Huge Networking opportunity. Registrations vary from 250 to 450 Royal LePage Realtors from across Canada interested in improving their successful careers through Listening, Learning and sharing ideas and experiences with other successful realtors.

Originally held in Vancouver, ‘HEADSTART’ went on the road and has visited Kelowna, Victoria, Richmond, Whistler, and Harrison Hot Springs. In 2003 we ‘Cruised To Success’ aboard Holland America to San Diego.

In 2005, HEADSTART delegates enjoyed the hugely succesful “Rocky Mountain High” event, set in Intrawest’s Panorama Resort, near Invermere, BC. Highlights included meeting the Kokanee Sasquatch, the recruited moose, and the Drum Café Kick-off!

For 2007, Headstart was held at Tigh-Na-Mara Resort on Vancouver Island, where delegates enjoyed a Survivor-themed event. Participants were challenged to make great choices in games and activities, and to develop their network of colleagues from across Canada. Check out the smiles in the photo gallery.

Goals and Values

The ‘HEADSTART’ Committee is comprised of Realtors, always looking for new, interesting venues & activities to provide our delegates excellent Value for their money and time invested.

‘HEADSTART’ offers an unequalled opportunity to connect with other Realtors FACE to FACE and encourages the exchange of new concepts and connections.
